Created on June 3, 2024, MAENDELEO NA MSHIKAMANO, abbreviated "MM", is a non-profit association working in the field of assistance for the social, economic, human and environmental development of populations in rural areas in the East Africa & Indian Ocean region.

Its mission is to support the empowerment of local populations and to act for their rights, with a strong desire to have a positive and lasting impact on communities in rural areas and more specifically on young people & women.

MAENDELEO NA MSHIKAMANO's missions are to support local development in the East Africa and Indian Ocean region around 3 components:

• Economic: Entrepreneurship at the service of development "With almost nothing, we can change almost everything", a global support for project leaders in localities (from the idea to the realization with a follow-up for a minimum of 5 years)
• Social: Technical and financial support for public utility projects
• Environmental: Support for waste management

MAENDELEO NA MSHIKAMANO carries out its own projects and leads projects in partnership with other organizations, favoring existing local structures.
