The Employment Center (MDE) is a public body under the Ministry of Employment, Labor, Vocational Training, Women's Entrepreneurship, Youth, and Sport. It has been available to all job seekers since March 2013. It provides a free service, with legal status and financial autonomy. The Employment Center (MDE)'s mission is to contribute to reducing unemployment and provide reliable statistical data on the labor market. It also: Develops programs to support professional integration, taking into account employment promotion policies and strategies; Establishes a database of companies with potential job creation potential; Collects data on labor needs and availability. Insures, guides, and supports young entrepreneurs;
The MDE collects labor market information, including information on the following: Current and future labor needs (including data on the number and categories of workers required, classified by industry, occupation, or region); Current and future labor availability (including data on the number, age and sex, qualifications, occupation, industry, and place of residence of workers, and on the number, geographic distribution, and characteristics of job seekers). The MDE is also responsible for conducting general or special studies on issues such as:
The causes and incidence of unemployment; The placement of specific categories of job seekers such as the disabled or adolescents; Factors affecting the level and nature of employment; Regularization of employment; Career guidance related to placement; Analysis of trades and professions; Other aspects of labor market organization. It contributes to the systematic establishment of an annual national estimate of labor needs and resources as part of a general study of the economic situation in order to facilitate the best possible organization of the labor market. As an integral part of the national program aimed at ensuring and maintaining full employment and developing and utilizing productive resources.
